Day 3:Hanoi City Tour – Catch night train to Lao Cai/ Sapa (B, L, D)

This morning we visit Ho Chi Minh complex and the Temple of Literature then we stop for our lunch in a local fine restaurant. This afternoon, we visit the Ethnology Museum, West Lake area (Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc Pagoda), Ngoc Son Temple and Hoan Kiem Lake. We have one hour to traveling around the Ancient city to see the daily Life of Hanoi and one more hour to watch The Water Puppet show in the Theater on the bank of Hoan Kiem Lake. Enjoy our dinner at the fine restaurant before escorting you to Hanoi Railway Station to catch our night train to Lao Cai/ Sapa

Day 4:Sapa – Trek to Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van Village (B, L, D)

The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa, then embark on a lovely trek that will take us along buffalo paths and trails and through several hills tribe villages Lao Chai & Ta Van, home to Black H’mong, and Dzay people. This is an absolutely spectacular walk through stunning scenery inhabited by some of the friendliest people you can meet.  Once on the valley floor you can really appreciate the wonderful scenery that surrounds you. The walls of the valley are covered with multi-layered rice terraced fields and scattered villages.

Day 5:Ta Van – Bac Ha Sunday Market – Catch night train back Hanoi (B, L, D)

After our breakfast at our homestay, we go to the Bac Ha market for two hours by a van. This is the largest market in the region, a place where many ethnic groups gather to buy and sell, eat and drink together. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. You can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes. In the afternoon we will have a 2 hour trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong people).In the village we can have a look in their house and understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs. Especially, we can try homemade wine from corn. And then we drive back to Lao Cai Raiway Station to catch our night train back Hanoi.

Day 6:Arrival Hanoi – Halong Bay on Huong Hai Sealife Cruise (B, L, D)

Train arrival to Hanoi Railway Station at around 5am, our tour guide and driver pick up and transfer you to hotel that is located nearby railway station for you to relax and have breakfast until 8.30: Our private car and driver will pick up for a drive to Halong Bay at around 7.45am.

You will travel through the high pass of Hai Van with its spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean en route to Hoi An. On the way you will also visit Cham museum, My Khe Beach and the marble village. In the afternoon you will enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town with its narrow, winding streets, visiting the Fukien Assembly Hall, the 200 year old Tan Ky house, the Japanese covered bridge, the Hoi An Museum and the handicraft workshops. After our breakfast at hotel, we catch flight to Ho Chi Minh City/ Saigon, upon arrival in Saigon, pick up and transfer you to hotel.

Then, we take sightseeing in Saigon City. The sightseeing tour acquaints us with the city’s some major sights. You will then pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before visiting the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, you will continue your trip on to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale.

Day 15:Saigon – Cu Chi Tunnels – Tay Ninh – Saigon (B)

In the morning we will leave Saigon for the Cu Chi tunnels, otherwise known as the “Iron Triangle” or “Iron Land”. On our way there we will drive through pleasant countryside; rubber plantations and rice paddies. Before entering the tunnels, we will see a short introductory video showing how they were constructed, followed by an exploration of the maze of tunnels, some of which have been widened to allow tourist access. Also on display are various mantraps and the remains of an American tank as well as numerous bomb craters made by 500lb bombs dropped by B52 bombers.

Next we drive to Tay Ninh near the Cambodian border. This is home to the unique Cao Dai sect whose patron saints include Joan of Arc, Victor Hugo and Winston Churchill to name but a few. This religion is an odd mix of Buddhist, Taoist, Confucianism and Christianity. Join Cao Dai worshippers for their daily noontide ceremony where hundreds of worshipers attired in lively red, yellow blue and white, chant religious hymns. Lunch and return to Ho Chi Minh City

Pick you up at hotel in Saigon at 8am. A smooth one and half hour car ride passing the green rice fields, leads you to the beautiful rural MYTHO city. The morning trip continues on the motorized boat on the Tien river to the Qui (Tortoise islet). On the way, you will view the fishing port, stilt houses, boat-building workshops, the other Dragon, Phoenix and Unicorn Islet. The cruise will lead  you through Bao Dinh canal  to enter Ben Tre province, “the country of coconut”, to see a typical agricultural model call “Garden – Pond – Cage” then enjoy coconut candy mill and the relaxing honey tea. Then the amazing rowing boat trip on the small canal – fully covered by the shadow of the water coconuts’ tree and cool breezes is something you can’t be missed.  Lunch will be served right in the heart of the orchard garden. After lunch, we will walk along the village, visit fruit garden, enjoy the tropical fruit while you are listening to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the islanders. Here you can join the daily activities of the local people and enjoy the atmosphere of this beautiful natural countryside. 7: 00 After breakfast, take the morning boat trip to visit Phong Dien floating market with the busy market scene right at this early time. Continue cruising through the small canals system of the Mighty Mekong River on sampan; visit the village where they make the rice noodles. See the “Monkey Bridge” in the Delta. Visit the second floating market of Cai Rang. Break time for lunch. We transfer to our hotel in Chau Doc.

In the morning we start the tour with Silver Pagoda located in the Royal Palace Enclosure and the Royal Garden, the Silver Pagoda, After that we visit The National Museum, built in the Khmer style in the 1920’s has an extensive collection of Khmer art. Before lunch we also visit the Wat Phnom, widely acknowledged as the site of the foundation of Phnom Penh. We have lunch in the restaurant. In the afternoon we visit The Tuol Sleng Museum, follow by that we visit the Victory monument and the Russian Market.

Day 20:Phnom Penh – Fly to Siem Reap – Angkor Wat Tour (B, D)

This morning, we catch a short flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival we will be greeted and transferred to Siem Reap for check-in at the hotel. Relax at the hotel or walking around the town. Our trip for the Majestic Angkor will be started after lunch time. This afternoon we will visit Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is located about six kilometers north of Siem Reap, south of Angkor Thom. Angkor Wat was built in the first half of the 12th century (113 – 5BC). It is a largest monument of the Angkor Group and the best preserved and it is an architectural masterpiece. Its perfection in composition, balance, proportions, relief’s and sculpture make it one of the finest monuments in the world. In the end of afternoon, we will enjoy sunset at the hilltop temple of Phnom Bakheng.

Day 21:Angkor Temple Complex Tour (B)

Today, after breakfast, we will start our visit of the amazing temples complex of Angkor. We will begin to explore the complex of Angkor Thom. Angkor Thom was built by King Jayavarman VII at the end of the 12th century, a short while after the completion of Angkor Wat. Angkor Thom, which means “Great City”, is surrounded by a massive perimeter wall and a moat with five monumental gates and covers an area of more than ten square kilometers. The most important monuments are located in the centre of the city, namely the Bayon, the Baphoun and the Terrace of Elephants. The Bayon is a fascinating piece of architecture and one of the most photographed. It is a bizarre structure, with a total of 54 towers elaborately decorated with 216 enormous and enigmatic smiling faces. The numerous other structures of this fortified city are the Terrace of the Leper King, the Phimeanakas, Preah Palilay, Tepranom, Preah Pithu, North & South Kleang and Prasat Sour Prot. Then, we will visit Ta Prohm. The principal singularity of Ta Phrom is that it has not been cleared from the thick jungle, as the rest of the Angkor Complex has been. It looks nearly the same as in the descriptions of the first French explorers, shrouded in undergrowth and in the huge roots of old Banyan trees.Then we go back to hot air balloon station where we can ride a stable hot air balloon for a truly memorable sunset look over one of the Wonder of the World, Angkor Wat.
